I certainly won’t miss you…
It has been a rollercoaster of a year, that’s for sure. Not all was bad, but a lot of things sucked very, very much. This year has taken more from us than we ever imagined, and I for my part am ready to see it go.
I’m looking forward to 2017. It’ll start with the launch of my very own LGBT Romance Deals Newsletter, continue with a release of a novella (Loving History) and the fourth book in the Unexpected Series and then see the release of a m-preg book I’m writing with Aria Grace. For my German readers, there are some books already with Main Verlag, so you can expect those, too. Oh, and I’m translating and doing covers, so I will definitely be busy in 2017. But I’m looking forward to it.
So, goodbye 2016. Welcome 2017. I hope you will be a better year for all of us.
I’m wishing you a peaceful and happy Christmas (and if you don’t celebrate Christmas, then I’m going to wish you a few quiet, peaceful days)
Thank you for the year and your support!
Then my first German novel will release!
Dann kommt mein erster deutscher Roman!

Born into wealth and privilege, Colin Sinclair was raised on the knowledge that money could buy anything and everyone had a price. Trouble was no trouble at all, not when the money was there to sweep it under the rug. But those lessons, learned at the knee of his father, were going to be challenged in a way that would change Colin forever.
In middle class suburbia, Arnaud Dechene learned the value of hard work, focus, and dedication to a dream. He was well on his way to achieving it, the role of Premier, when he catches Colin’s eye. Rich snobs didn’t usually do it for him, but there was something about Colin that made him impossible to resist.
Despite being opposites in every way, falling into a relationship was surprisingly—and deceptively—easy, but Arnaud never lost sight of his dream and Colin had trouble accepting that he was second place to anything. When a stupid argument leads to a reckless act, the repercussions leave Arnaud fighting for his life and Colin paying with his own.
With a little meddling from an aging schemer and intentions that are more well-meaning than realistic, their paths will cross again. However, Colin and Arnaud aren’t the same men who loved with abandon. They are older and wiser, with a history that might be too big to overcome.
Fans of the series know revenge is a double-edged sword, forgiveness doesn’t always come easy, and forgetting is damn near impossible. But love…well, that may just conquer all.
Like many readers, the dream of being a writer has been with me a long time. After three decades of trying, I’d begun to doubt. Thanks to social media, I followed my favorite authors hoping to glean some words of wisdom as I pounded out half-formed ideas with alarming regularity. Two repetitive themes emerged: To be a great writer you must read a lot and your butt must be in the chair every day like it’s a job. The more you write, the easier it will be to write and the better you will be at writing. I took that advice to heart and write every day. With three series in the works and counting, it’s been amazing to have made this dream my reality.
I am a firm believer in marriage equality, love at first sight, power dynamics and happily ever after. I’m a lover of strong secondary characters and series filled with families, biological or chosen. All are themes you’ll find throughout my books.

I’ll try to post a few of my writing tips over the next weeks and share some of my working (or not) ideas.
Someone asked my about Dragon Speech, so here it comes: About 4 weeks ago, I’ve been trying to write about 2k every day, but after a while, my wrist started hurting really bad. I’ve had it before and will probably have it forever, as soon as I write too much (longhanded or at the computer). Anyway, I met a fellow author online who recommended Dragon to me. I figured I’d try it, since my hand hurt really bad.
My husband encouraged me, even though it’s pretty expensive (200€)
I bought it, did the training and it was horrible. I sounded like I was telling a story in school. I also read about authors dictating 3k in an hour. I didn’t even get 500 done. I can write about 1200 in an hour, when I’m typing fast. With Dragon, it was like pulling teeth. But I didn’t have a choice, so I stayed with it. I had to get used to form the sentence in my head and instead of sending it to my fingers, I had to speak it. I also had to learn to say Quotationmark, Comma, Period and so on, because you have to dictate everything.
About three days in, it got better. My hand didn’t hurt (that was the best part) and I finally managed to sound like “me”. I also made about 800-1000 words in an hour.
Now, four weeks into it, I can easily write 2500-3000 words in an hour. I also hit my personal goal of 5k on one day (my best have been 3,5k before that). Now I usually do at least one day per week where I write between 4 and 5k.
I stopped editing/fixing every sentence, except when I mess up a sentence beyond everything. (that still happens) I need to edit my ms anyway, and most of my sentences get changed when I edit, so I would only fix something I might cut later anyway. I also edit with the keyboard, since that’s something that I couldn’t do with Dragon.
It’s a lot to learn and don’t expect to be as fast as you are with typing, but in my eyes, it’s worth it. And speed will come with time. (It took me exactly 23 minutes to write my first 1k today.) And you’ll get used to dictate when your partner is around. That was very weird in the beginning. Now he simply ignores me 🙂
Also, since I work with a macbook Pro, I didn’t need anything except the software. If you have a windows PC, you will need a microphone. There’s an app for iphone, but I haven’t tried it yet.
If you have questions, please don’t hesitate to ask me. There’s also a support group on facebook. Let me know how your experiences went.
*Disclaimer* I bought Dragon Speech as everyone else does. These experiences are mine only and I received nothing in return for writing this. I also didn’t add any links here. Please search for Dragon or Nuance (that’s the software company) if you’re interested in purchasing it.
Author Names: K.C. Wells & Parker Williams
Book Name: Endings and Beginnings
Series: Collars & Cuffs
This is the final book in the series, which should be read from Beginning to End. 😉 (See what we did there?)
Release Date: July 18, 2016
In all his relationships, Darren Fielding never found the level of intimacy he witnessed between Thomas Williams and his sub, Peter, the day of Peter’s “rebirth.” Not only that, he never realized such intimacy was possible. For two years, Thomas’s business card has been burning a hole in his wallet. When Darren’s lover moves on, maybe it’s finally time to see where that card takes him.
Collars & Cuffs’s new barman, JJ Taylor, is really conflicted right now. He went to the club with a very specific purpose, already convinced of what he’d find there. Except it’s not what he expected at all. He certainly didn’t anticipate finding himself drawn to the new wannabe Dom. Nor could he have guessed the direction that attraction would lead him.
Old love, new love, vows, pain, rage, moving in, moving on…. The members of Collars & Cuffs face an event that touches some of them deeply, but it will only reinforce what they already know: together they are stronger, and some bonds cannot be broken.
As some of you might know, I’ll be at UK Meet in September (And I’m only a tiny bit nervous! Okay, that was a lie 🙂 ) Anyway, if you want to get a signed copy of one of my books, please just drop me an email or facebook message to let me know which one by August 10th. (I need to ship them ahead)
I will bring a few with me, but planning makes it easier. Also, I can’t guarantee you will get the book you want if you don’t order.
